If you’re reading this, welcome. My name is Josiah Needham, and I’m glad you’re here.
This website is a place where I can share my passions, experiences, and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. Whether you found me through drumming, public speaking, mental health advocacy, or simply by stumbling across this page, I hope you find something here that encourages you.

My story began in New England, where I grew up playing baseball, traveling with my dad’s band, and moving throughout the region. Those early experiences sparked my love for music, creativity, and connecting with people.

As I entered high school, life became much more challenging. I faced significant mental health struggles and survived seven suicide attempts during those years. It was a difficult season that shaped my perspective on life, resilience, and the importance of honest conversations. Through it all, music became a lifeline, and drumming gave me an outlet when I couldn’t always find the words.

College at Southeastern University marked a turning point. As I studied communication, I discovered a passion for public speaking and began sharing my story with others. I realized that vulnerability has the power to create connection and that our struggles can often become the very things that help us serve others.

Today, I work at Ferguson, continue serving as a worship drummer, and pursue opportunities to speak about mental health, resilience, purpose, and personal growth. I’m also blessed to be engaged to an incredible woman, and we’re excitedly preparing for the next chapter of life together.

This blog will be a place for life updates, reflections, lessons I’ve learned, behind-the-scenes moments, and conversations about faith, mental health, creativity, and purpose. My hope is that by sharing my journey, others will feel a little less alone in theirs.
Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to learn a little about me. I’m excited to see where this journey leads.
Welcome to the story.
Josiah Needham
